SUMMER IS HERE!

 

FINAL ENGLISH PROJECTS CICLE SUPERIOR

To consolidate all the English skills that pupils in Cicle Superior have learnt, they have completed a final project to put these skills into practice and learn new vocabulary.

5th Grade: Students completed an individual project called “My Holidays.” They completed an index of everything needed to prepare for their holidays. Using their laptops, they researched and wrote about places to visit, transport, food, weather, clothes, currency, and a timetable, all packed into an imaginary suitcase. Now they are ready to travel!

6th Grade: Students engaged in a Project Based Learning activity about the wonders of the world. They watched a video, participated in group and individual activities, searched for information, and finally chose their favourite wonder of the world.

PLAY: WANDA THE WITCH

Hello!!!

Yesterday Year 1 and Year 2 went to Círcol Catòlic to see the play "Wanda the Witch". 

Wanda is a happy witch. She lives in her little house with her  cat, Felix. And today is Felix’s birthday. But there is a problem. Wanda has forgotten! While Felix prepares the decorations for his party, Wanda has to find a way to get the unusual ingredients to make a magic birthday cake… and super quick!

All the children helped Wanda to find the ingredients for the birthday cake: six mushrooms, six fish and six spiders.

We participated in the play: singing songs, dancing and helping Wanda. We practised the vocabulary and expressions we had learnt in class and had a lot of fun!

What an amazing play!

CULTURAL DAYS 2024

Hello everyone!

This school year we've been working about WOMEN IN HISTORY in our traditional Cultural Days.

In Cicle Mitjà, we've done a workshop about Women Writers. We've done some group activities to learn her names and the books they wrote. We've learned about J.K.Rowling, Mary Shelley, P.L. Travers and many more.

In Cicle Superior, we've searched information about Women Activists using our laptops to complete a worksheet. Some of them were Rosa Parks, Greta Thumberg, Malala Yousafzai...

Hi everyone!

Cicle Mitjà and Cicle Superior had gone to the theatre these last two weeks. Before the shows, we did some activities in our classes, learning the songs, working on the new vocabulary, reading the story...

Cicle Superior saw the play "Treasure Island" and Cicle Mitjà saw "Tarzan". We went to Círcol Catòlic, a small theatre near the town hall. As always the plays were a lot of fun and we had a great time. We sang the songs, helped the characters, used English to ask questions...even the teachers participated!

CARNIVAL!

Hello everyone!

Once again, we celebrated Carnival. We had our English board full of decorations. You could see the "Crazy Orders" and some vocabulary and structures we learned in our English lessons.
